Adding Internet Calendar via Internet Explorer
Here are the steps to follow to get your Internet Calendar setup:
-
Open your Google Calendar.
-
Under Settings > Calendars, click on the calendar you would like to add to Outlook.
-
Scroll down to the Private Address section, and click ICAL.
-
Copy the private calendar address.
-
Open Internet Explorer.
-
Paste the private calendar address into the IE address bar, and replace the https:// with webcals:// and press the “Enter” key on your keyboard.
-
You may get a dialog that says “Do you want to allow this website to open a program on your computer?”, click Allow.
-
Microsoft Office Outlook will open, and ask you “Add this Internet Calendar to Outlook and subscribe to updates?”, click Advanced.
-
Make sure the calendar name is correct, or type in the name you want to give it. Click OK.
-
Click Yes in the add calendar dialog box. (If the calendar doesn’t have any appointments yet, you’ll get a warning, just click Yes to add it anyway.)

Yes it is great! What i did is copy all the webcals:// links and send them in an email to all the users who need access to those calendars with outlook. If they receive the email within Outlook and click the link, they never have to open a web browser. Outlook takes care of it.
